What are early postpartum preppers saying about the course?
Here's the scoop of what it's like inside of Nurtured and my ancestral postpartum workshops:
I knew belly binding was an old tradition, but this workshop gave me so much more clarity on how it actually supports postpartum recovery. It was very clear, simple, and straight to the point without being overwhelming. I’d definitely recommend it to other mothers — it gives you a lot of knowledge in a short amount of time

It’s been amazing to watch and learn from Ashley’s work. As a birth and postpartum doula myself, I feel such a strong connection to the way she shares and teaches. The care, intention, and knowledge she brings to supporting mothers is truly impactful.
Birth & Postpartum Doula
Before watching the workshop, my understanding of belly binding was pretty basic. I saw it as a postpartum practice where a wrap is used around the abdomen to help support the body after birth. I would absolutely recommend this workshop to other pregnant and postpartum mothers. It offers such a deeper understanding of belly binding beyond just the basics. It helps you learn how to do it safely, comfortably, and in a way that truly supports your body during recovery. It also brings awareness to how grounding and nurturing belly binding can feel during postpartum. It’s not just about physical support—it’s about feeling held and cared for in a time when your body is going through so much. That kind of knowledge and support can make a real difference in the postpartum experience. Thank you for offering this workshop. It was a really meaningful experience, and I’m so grateful for the knowledge and care that went into it. I can’t wait to take more workshops and continue learning

Inside the program I teach my signature C.A.L.M. protocol: A postpartum framework designed to help mothers recover, nourish, and settle into the fourth trimester with confidence.
Today, the way we approach postpartum simply isn’t working. The reality in the West is, you’re sent home within 48 hours and expected to recover, feed a newborn, and function without a plan. For most mothers, the weeks after birth arrive without the steady guidance, wisdom, and hands-on support women once expected to have. Families are busy. Partners are learning alongside you. And there isn’t always someone there to show you what healing, rest, and nourishment are meant to look like. I think far too many make the mistake in thinking that just because they take a few days off, or their partners have paternity leave, that that is enough to sustain them through this vulnerable time. But countless families experience this exact challenge - where they wish they had known how much postpartum asks of them. Even the most thoughtful, prepared mothers often find themselves wondering: Am I recovering the way I should be? Do I actually have the support I need? Am I doing enough for myself while caring for my baby? Postpartum then becomes a mix of exhaustion, questions, and a deep longing for reassurance. This is exactly why I created the C.A.L.M. protocol. It’s the same blend of practical tools, emotional grounding, and ancestral wisdom I share with my in-person doula clients. A way to have postpartum guidance in your pocket — helping you navigate the moments when you’d usually wish someone was there. So the real question becomes: How can you give yourself the support, nourishment, and clarity your body truly needs after birth… even if you don’t have a full village around you? There's a reason why there's such a growing interest in this ancient wisdom, it's no secret that standard modern care is lacking crucial elements for REAL support.
Learning to build your village
What kind of support do I want to be surrounded by during my postpartum recovery? How can I prepare my home environment to support rest, warmth, and healing? What conversations do I need to have with my partner or loved ones before birth so we’re on the same page? Who are the people I genuinely feel safe, comfortable, and held with? Plus, what if I don't have a normal 'village'?
Traditional practices with a modern lens
What beliefs about “bouncing back” or doing it all myself do I need to let go of? How did mothers historically nourish themselves and how can I bring that into my kitchen today? How can I create a postpartum rhythm that honors slowness and restoration? What can we learn from cultures that prioritize rest and mother-care?
From breastfeeding support to nutritional guidance- we've got you covered
What quick, nourishing meals can I prep now to support recovery? How can I set realistic expectations for myself and my partner in the first 40 days? How can I protect my milk supply in the early weeks? What simple newborn-care skills will lower my stress and increase my confidence?
I created this postpartum program after years of traveling, learning, and witnessing how different cultures care for mothers after birth. I saw how nourishing, supported, and held postpartum can be when communities still honour the traditions our modern world has forgotten.
And I also saw the opposite... what happens when mothers don’t have access to that kind of support. I’ve met expectant moms who felt unsure and anxious about their recovery because they didn’t know what to expect. I’ve talked to mothers who already lived through a difficult first postpartum and were determined not to repeat that experience. I’ve held space for women who were exhausted, overwhelmed, or grieving that they didn’t receive the care they truly needed the first time around. And I kept hearing the same question again and again, "What am I supposed to do when I go home with my baby?" So many were trying to rebuild, re-nourish, and recover… while carrying the weight of what they lacked. This program was born for them. For the mother who wants guidance, nourishment, and grounding. For the mother who wants her next postpartum to feel supported, not depleted. For the mother who simply deserves to be nurtured.
Hi, I’m Ashley. A pilates-trained postpartum doula, lactation counselor, chef, and someone who has spent years immersed in women’s health, birth, and postpartum recovery.
I stepped into this work originally to prepare myself for motherhood, but it quickly became a deeper calling. Through training in physiological birth, lactation, nutrition, and hands-on postpartum care, I’ve supported families through those raw early weeks when guidance, rest, and reassurance matter most. My journey hasn’t been linear. I’ve moved countries, rebuilt my life more than once, and grown through the same uncertainty many women face. But every time, I came back to birth work because this is where I’m meant to be. I’m excited to share my knowledge because postpartum doesn’t have to feel chaotic or lonely. With the right education and support, it becomes a period of healing, bonding, and confidence. My goal is simple: to help mothers feel held, prepared, and empowered whether I’m in their home or in their pocket through my programs.

The price of postpartum preparation is not the same as the cost of going without it.
Many mothers hesitate when it comes to preparing for postpartum. Many birthworkers might have a lot of information surrounding the main event most prepare for, but may not receive much guidance on the road to recovery. Some might misjudge where to allocate funds. The reality is, the baby industry monopolizes many new families' fears of being underprepared for their newborn, when in reality, almost all of what your new baby needs is you. The area that is truly underserved is a well-cared for mother. What I've learned in this work is that when we mother the mother, she can mother her baby. The result? A thriving family. But the truth is, most of us pay for postpartum one way or another. Whether it costs you in exhaustion, overwhelm or trying to figure things out while already running on empty. Or, if the cost is guidance, making a true plan beforehand that is tried and true from the generations before us. Preparation isn’t about perfection. It’s about giving yourself the support and guidance most modern mothers never receive. Because the real cost isn’t the program, it’s entering one of the most vulnerable seasons of your life without the tools you need.
You shouldn't be blindsided by postpartum. Luckily, when you prep with me, you won't be.
